For me I used to share your point of view. No, I don’t have a girlfriend but yes, I have fallen in love. No, don’t ask me who it was because I doubt that you know her anyways. I think you shouldn’t get a girlfriend just for the sake of getting one, if you know what I mean. It should be something that you both know without directly saying it. I imagine heartbreaks won’t be so heartbreaking, when the moment comes, if there’s a good reason reason it and you guys can stay friends. So yeah, don’t go off and ask every single girl you have the least tinge of feeling of and don’t shy away when you both know there’s something more than friendship.

But yeah, Mattisdada got it right, you can be genuinely happy when you are in love. If you ever are, you have the opportunity say those emotional and lovey dovey stuff to your girlfriend because your friends (especially bros) will probably think they are sick and, ordinarily, you don’t want your parents to know either because they’ll probably interrogate you until feel like a streaker. Or if you want to stay on the safe side, just write secret poems or whatever that you keep to yourself to get out all the emotion, although others might think it’s creepy.

I fear you miss the entire point of an relationship Peter, and thus you are showing your naiveness, even, childishness….

Did you know, in all senses of the word, humans require love in order to survive? Whether its with your family, friends, girlfriend, boyfriend, whatever! We all require it.

When your in a relationship with someone (gf/bf), you share a special bond. And you can do things with them, that you cant do with a friend. And im not just talking about sex/kissing or whatever, more of an emotional pathway, where you share with one another, become one another….

A relationship makes most people considerably happy, because we all require this emotional pathway with a fellow human being. You can share it to an extent with family and friends, but not to the same degree….

I can guarantee it little Peter, you will know what im talking about if you ever get a girl, or even a guy if thats your preference
